I love Occam Razor’s philosophy that sometimes the best answers are the easiest ones. I’m a big beleiver in the power of creativity and in my Time Management Seminars, I’ve created a page for our personalized daytimer that allows you to write down one creative idea a day.

My Patent Attorney son taught me years ago that the inventive millionaires of tomorrow aren’t the ones who start from stratch but those who look at an idea and “tweak it” to make it better. After all, remember what the old baby bottle looked like? Put a hole in the middle so a baby can hold it themself and walah…a new invention.

So I am so excited to see my granddaughter’s idea  of an invention competition for kids http://www.innovationexpress.org to where it is today and it was highlight in the news at USF in Tampa . When was the last time you moved an idea out of your mind, to paper, and then to reality? And how do YOU support others to do the same?

I recently met a group of people who were so excited about networking with “historic” figures who had once been successful in business. I think it’s great to attend and learn but my question is…do you want to hang out with “doners” or “doers?”

In today’s fast moving environment – it doesn’t do much for me to listen to “Experts” who talk about how they succeeded 20, 10 or even 5 years ago. I want to know what are they doing TODAY to advance their businesses.

Not only should they KNOW about social media but they need to know HOW to USE it and translate that skill to others. And the tools should work with intangible and tangible products. When you use them – you should be able to see quick and measurable results. I have!

My own personal coach is pushing me to share with others what I’ve done in the last 90 days to advance my daughter’s toy store. I’ve never thought of speaking in the retail business. They always seem too busy to listen and learn new things. I know we’re open 7 days a week…but I also so a little tweek here and there has made a huge difference in our numbers. So – anyway – next time you get a little swayed by the awesomeness of others – ask “what have you done lately?“

Hi! I recently attended a networking event where we talked about the best gift we can give to clients and I really liked a couple so as your coach, I thought I would share two with you.

1. Make a list of the Top Ten People You Should Know I have thousands of people in my database and it would really benefit my clients to send them a top ten list of people who I know who are resources of knowledge, supplies, etc, that could benefit them. These are people who have a high ethical standard and sincerely care about the best interest in others. Why not do the same?

2. Send a Top Ten Questionnaire. Every year I do this to help my clients and attendees to focus on what they’ve accomplished this past year. It’s a great way to start the new year acknowledging that you listen, learn and ACT!
